Lodgement dates
Applications for pharmacy ownership and/or premises approval are to be lodged at least 20 working days* before the monthly meeting of the Pharmacy Council of NSW. This time allows for the application to be assessed and considered.
The closing dates for lodgement of applications during 2020 are as follows:

** The office of the Pharmacy Council will be closed from 24 December 2019 and will reopen on Monday 6 January 2020. No over-the-counter applications will be accepted during the period of closure. Applications involving trusts are to be lodged by 11 December 2019 to allow sufficient time for an assessment of the trust to be undertaken.
THESE DATES SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE APPLICANT’S LEGAL AND FINANCIAL ADVISERS AND TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN ARRANGING SETTLEMENT OF CONTRACTS, INSPECTION OF PREMISES AND SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS ETC.
Any application received AFTER the LODGED BY date will be held over for consideration at the following monthly meeting of the Council. For example, an application received after the May lodgement date cut off will not be included on the June agenda but will be held over for consideration at the July meeting.
Incomplete applications, that is, applications with documentation or information outstanding, will not be put to Council for consideration as to approval. It is the responsibility of the person making the application to ensure the application is accurate, completed and in accordance with the Law.
The Council appreciates that late lodgement of an application may result in difficulties for an applicant. Applicants are therefore advised to read The Guide carefully, to ensure all documentation is in order and to make any inquiries in a timely manner. Adequate preparation will ensure the application will be included for consideration by Council at the next available meeting.
Applications are not accepted by email.
