Lodgement dates
Pharmacy ownership and/or premises applications for Pharmacy Council consideration are to be received at least 20 working days* before the monthly Council meeting. This time allows for the application to be assessed and considered by the Council.
The closing dates for lodgement of applications for Council meetings in early 2019 are as follows:
Application lodged by: |
Council Meeting |
17 December 2018 |
9 January 2019** |
25 January 2019 |
13 February 2019 |
15 February 2019 |
13 March 2019 |
Lodgement dates from March onwards will be advised in due course.
** The office of the Pharmacy Council will be closed from 24 December 2018 and will reopen on Monday 7 January 2019. No over-the-counter applications will be accepted during the period of closure.
THESE DATES SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE APPLICANT’S LEGAL AND FINANCIAL ADVISERS AND TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN ARRANGING SETTLEMENT OF CONTRACTS, INSPECTION OF PREMISES AND SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS ETC.
Any application received AFTER the LODGED BY date will be held over for consideration at the following monthly meeting of the Council. For example, an application received after the May lodgement date cut off will not be included on the June agenda but will be held over for consideration at the July meeting.
Incomplete applications, that is, applications with documentation or information outstanding, will not be put to Council for consideration as to approval. It is the responsibility of the person making the application to ensure the application is accurate, completed and in accordance with the Law.
The Council appreciates that late lodgement of an application may result in difficulties for an applicant. Applicants are therefore advised to read The Guide carefully, to ensure all documentation is in order and to make any inquiries in a timely manner. Adequate preparation will ensure the application will be included for consideration by Council at the next available meeting.
Applications are not accepted by email.
